Are you a qualified aerospace technician or do you have any experience with aerospace maintenance ? Have you got any experience that is similar to the listed tasks ? (Apparently you don't know what SAP is, so that's a negative point).

My guess is that if you don't have a diploma or the experience, then you won't qualify.

I wonder what that SAP things is? It listed on many Job offers? The that Job offer as technician not require Degree in Engineering? They just expect, trade school,  with is secondary  education or good knowledge in aviation? they also looking for desk job with just High School diploma, but they require knowledge of MS OFFICE, but it;s no problem with me :D , but they require basic knowledge of VBA and could be problem :(

SAP should not be a problem, not any more than VBA.

The top-right of this page has a little flag symbol... switch it to whatever language fits your need.

First, I'll assume you are qualified because "Am I qualified for this role" is another question entirely.

Fluency in English is a factor, but Im assuming that there are more than one job like this that would satisfy you, some of them may well be in your native tongue.

Your Curriculum Vitae / CV / Resume, should  detail all of the things about you that qualify you for the job, so in a cover letter you dont need to describe those things.

In the covering letter you need to describe why you are applying, why you think you would be a good hire, what you can bring to the company things like that.

Do NOT write sympathetic stories about your personal journey, stories about dying relatives or a sick pet or that you have a strong personal drive to reach for the stars and fulfil your dreams etc.

You want to say things that are not detailed in your CV, but surrounding the subject of what the benefits of hiring you would be.

And if you can, make it a little interesting. It is quite likely that things in your CV or cover letter would come up in an interview - give them some good talking points.

For example:

"Whilst at university I studied martial arts, as I found that my aptitude for spatial awareness and coordination made it a great fit for me."

"I have found that studying [relevant subject] required a great deal of mental discipline, which came in very useful later when I [XYZ]."

"I really enjoyed Ultimate Frisbee because you have to gel as a team or you cannot make any headway, encouraging people with different skills to work together felt like a great achievement"

Try not to make it sound that dry though

I would also throw in; You can hire a 'professional' to rewrite your cover letter and resume for you. Such a person knows how to take those points about you and put them into an attention-getting presentation.

Keep in mind... one page, and one-sided at that.

If you're going to do this all on your own, search the web as there are plenty of examples of what a good resume should look like. In fact, I believe there are even a few free websites which assist you in creating resumes.
