K-42 Arrow Speed Plane

Recommended Posts

Tonight, I set a goal: Build a fast plane that can get between ground bases. I decided to call it the K-42 Arrow. Here it is:

When I launched it from Island Airfield for a test, I got much more than I bargained for. As I watched the speed meter steadily count up, the numbers amazed me:

100... 200... 300... 400... 500... 600... 700... 800... 900...

And it finally topped out. 962.4m/s. By this time it was a fireball. And burning up, so I aborted the mission, braked it, and tried to land it. Warning: Trying to land Arrow may result in loss of Kerbal life.

Hope you enjoyed this, I won't bother with the craft file unless someone wants it, so speak up.

Update: If you move landing gear to far front, it is rather easy to land. Also, you can ram it into the water at 500m/s and the kerbal will survive. The cockpit jumps off and brakes, cockpits may help.
