Airbags on Mk3 Capsule

If you look on the bottom of the Mk3 Capsule you can see 6 orange ovals. Why not have those inflate to crash tolerance is higher or we can float better of the ocean.

We do not need it but it would be cool

The FASA mod has a bunch of inflatable floats, so does Comfortable Landing.

Mk3 capsule? I think you mean the Mk1-3 capsule, as the Mk3 is a shuttle cockpit that lacks the what you're describing.

Also, those orange "ovals" are neither ovals nor airbags - they're simply ring segments of reflective metal foil insulation for separating the bottom bulkhead of the pod from either parts, for purely aesthetic purposes.

Finally, adding airbags to the Mk1-3 would limit its usefulness - there are plenty of players who would add additional crew compartments, fuel tanks and other parts directly underneath to make interplanetary spaceships and landers.

I'd much rather have separate surface-mountable inflatable parts, and most mods already implement this feature.

Yep, both of the mods I referenced offer surface mounted inflatable parts. I've used them many times
