Alternate Launch Site Unavailable

Yesterday I had the ability to change to another launch site. Today I do not. I do not understand why. I tried both the VAB and SPH. No options. Any help would be appreciated. Output file: https://goo.gl/T5iXDM

Does this happen on different savegames?
Check your difficulty settings if 'Allow other Launchsites' is enabled.

Btw. thats not the correct log file, this one is created by the launcher (which is quiet buggy and you should not use it). If the difficulty settings are not the reason for your issue, please upload your KSP.log (located in your ksp install directory) or your output_log.txt located in this directoy: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Squad\Kerbal Space Program\

I opened a new game and the alternate sites are on it. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it, but when I made this save file I did not have Making History. I bought it when the file was already in use. Could that have anything to do with it? The right output file: https://goo.gl/Hd2drM

EDIT: I just looked deeper into the settings and found where to turn on alternate sites. I just went into the settings of the existing file while the file was running, clicked on difficulty settings at the top of the window and clicked on allow other launch sites.   I didn't have that turned on in the existing save file. Thank you for letting me work this out.

Uhm, I'm not quiet sure if I understand you right, so please let me ask again: Did you check the difficulty settings for the savegame which doesn't allow you to switch to other launchsites?
These settings are different from a new game especially if you have created the savegame before you bought the DLC.
So what you have to do is:

• Load the savegame which doesn't allow you to switch between launchsites
• hit ESC and open the settings window
• at the top of the settings window, you will find a button to open the difficulty settings for this savegame
• check if other launchsites are enabled (they shouldn't be enabled since you have started this savegame before you bought the DLC)

I'm sorry if I misunderstood you and this is what you have actually done already but it sounds like you just checked the settings for a new game.

The log file shows that the dessert launchsite is loaded into your game, so I hope you just checked the the wrong settings because otherwise, I have no other clue

I did open a new savegame and it did allow me to use the other sites. Other sites were enabled. I'm sure you didn't misunderstand I have a horrible habit of just skimming text instead of actually reading it. I'm sure it was my error. I apologize.

This is the point where I'm confused. It works on a new savegame, that's fine, nothing to do here. But if you want to use the other launchsites in an old savegame, you have to check the difficulty settings for this particular savegame by going through the 4 steps I've listed above.

And I have the horrible habit of not looking up every word I cannot translate on my own and assuming things based on context

As I said in the "answered" post when I checked the existing savegames custom settings I had to turn on extra launch sites. That fixed my problem.
