Mechjeb landing guidance problems

I'm trying to use the landing guidance of mechjeb to land at the KSC but it doesn't work. When I activate the autopilot for landing the plane flips and flops around like a dead bird falling out of the sky. This is my first time using Mechjeb for anything. I'm terrible with landings so I thought I could use this. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

EDIT: I answered my own question. I was using the wrong guidance. I was using the landing guidance for a rocket not for a plane. Sorry but there is no delete function for posts that I can see.
