With the recent update to support keyboard and mouse on Xbox One are there any plans to provide support in KSP?

I would guess no since they have removed the partly m/kb support the first ee build had but thats me guessing i could be intierly wrong

You are right. They've removed keyboard and mouse support because it's supposed to be the 'console' version of KSP. If keyboard and mouse were allowed, it would defeat the purpose of the console version entirely

Other games on console do the same does this also defeat their purpose as a game on console? 

I would say its fair enough to not implement that kind of support on console but thats all

They removed keyboard and mouse support entirely, and have no plans to implement it

I'd have to wholeheartedly disagree with the bolded section. The console version is for people who don't have a PC, not for sadists who wish they could play it on a controller. If I had a PC I'd be playing KSP on that in an instant, but due to losing my PC room to a nursery in 2014 I have to settle for the port. I've watched hours and hours of Scott Manley and Tim Dodd on KSP, green with envy at the fidelity that they can control the game with using a mouse. Up until now a controller is all us console players have been stuck with, and despite doing a pretty good job at cramming as many commands as they have done, the game could desperately do with the support now it's available.

I will repeat what I said: The developers have completely disabled mouse and keyboard support, and have no plans to implement it.

May I ask your source for this? I'm not particularly active on this forum so apologies if you're super in the know and I just don't know it. That being said is there anything wrong with asking them to reconsider?

'Fixed issue where debug content is accessible using a keyboard'

The rest of the game wasn't accessible by keyboard, and now it's completely patched, and they have no plans to implement it again.
