How to get an interplanetary free return trajectory?

I read a KSP mission report in which a probe is sent to Eve on a free return trajectory back to Kerbin. How can I get the same thing done?How do I plan it?

Well, what you would need at Eve would be any gravity slingshot that would aim you back at an encounter with Kerbin. I doubt you need anything special -- just the correct Pe at Eve. So use Precise Maneuver and gently change your escape burn from Kerbin. I'm sure that as the trajectory slowly changes, you will see hundreds of projected encounters with Jool, Duna, and Kerbin. You might even get lucky and get a few of the others.
