HELP! Resolution keeps changing

So, i usually play ksp with a medium resolution because my GPU isn't thaaaaat great, but, when the game is loading and i do a couple of clicks (like 1 or 2) or when it has long loadings, the resolution of ksp switch to the resolution of my desktop and i have NO idea why. I can't simply lower the resolution of my desktop to match what i want because my pc gets laggy af. I've tried changing the resolution in the configs but it still doesn't stick up, i'm having this issue SINCE 1.5.1 and also tried to unninstall KSP and reinstall but nope, still having this. 

Does anyone else is having this issue? Does it have a fix?? 

I'm using:

-Windows 7

-a 1920 x 1080 monitor

-Nvidia GT 545 (my GPU)

-8GB RAM

-Intel Quad core Q9650 (My CPU)

I see the same effect, when using full-screen, when I switch to another program while waiting for the scene-change.  I don't have any help for you, though.

For me, windowed mode, less than full-screen, also reduces the GPU load.

Having similar issues. I have a Zenbook with a 3200x1600 screen, but because KSP runs like bovid feces at 4K (big surprise) I have the resolution set to 1600x900. 1.6.1 seems intent on setting the resolution automatically.
