I've just managed to get nearly 40 fuel tanks into a circular orbit!

Finally, after sending a lot of missions where I'd spent most my fuel on getting out of Kerbin's SOI, I've managed to build a space vessel capable of achieving more than 7km/s velocity.

It carries 38 full tanks of fuel(34 full, including 2x1600 and 2x200, 4 with more than half their capacity and rest is standard 400; 42 tanks in total). I'm really happy as this is my first "real" space mission(all done with full throttle in order to avoid the fuel bug). Over the next days I'll do a simulation of interplanetary travel(from Kerbin to Kerbin), just like in this awesome video(altough I don't expect it to go as well):

(it's awesome, go watch it now!)

Here are a few screenshots. This vehicle is capable of landing on Kerbin-like planet and returning to orbit with ~400l of fuel left for orbital meeting.

The biggest challenge was building the first stage that'd take my spaceship into an orbit. The ship weights >165 tons(at least that's what MechJeb says) and the rocket on the launchpad weights 940 tons(17000kN of thrust). It's also a pain to control and launching it nearly killed my PC. Took me about 5 hours to make it:)

I'm ready for 0.17:D
