I was on my way back to Kerbin from a interplanetary mission, and when i was aerobraking i saw this on the ground. I have seen it many times before but i never flew to one. No the monolith on Kerbin is at KSC2

Ive been there once. Its really just like it looks from orbit: Black terrain. Just like the texture fades from grass to sandy near water it just fades to black there...

There are five Monoliths on Kerbin that I know of. There's one within a few kilometers of KSC. Can't pick out the black spot in the OP image though. Picture's too dark for me.

They don't want you to know the truth, one of the Monoliths detonated in that spot.

The Kerbals in that area were not living up to the Monolith Builders expectations and were culled from the planet.
