Mono.dll access violation with stock

Recommended Posts

KSP has always run great in the past. But I picked it up again after a couple of months off, and now I get "access violations" after about 30 - 40 minutes of play.

Running on steam, Windows 10. GTX770

Running 0 mods, totally stock. Did a reinstall of KSP. Did a memory check with memtest86 (no errors).

I have 8 gigs of RAM, and the game uses between 7.2 and 7.6 gigs when running.

Game runs smoothly.

I get that it's not great to run up against the limit, but that's what a swapfile is for.

Honestly, I run a pretty tight ship when it comes to my gaming PC, and everything runs fairly lean. It's always been very stable.

Error log available on request, but here is the juicy bits:

2 things:

I have 8 gigs of RAM and even a modded install stays at around 6.7 gigs. Are you using a ton of web browsers or something?

And the second thing is, have you tried moving the KSP game folder somewhere else, like Documents? C:\Program Files can cause issues due to admin rights and whatnot. Make sure to Run as Administrator, BTW.
