No Liquid Fuel Cells?

Recommended Posts

One trick I've picked up when making small propeller aircraft is using the LF+Oxidizer tanks with Fuel Cells to produce the energy fast enough without the need for more situational solar panels. However, I've been wondering... Why do we only have LF+Oxidizer Fuel Cells? Why don't we have generators that just use LF and intake air?

I can see two ways of implementing this: one is to give the existing Fuel Cells the ability to switch between oxidizer and intake air. The other is to include dedicated LF generators, possibly with built-in intakes.

I think that this would be implemented as a jet engine the size of a Juno with the same ISP but because of it’s lateness on the tech tree it’s alternator can put out massive power... In a mod. This isn’t really something that we need in stock compared to other engines. This could be interesting in the Airplanes Plus mod so maybe you could ask the creator(s) of that great mod, or if you want to use this in your craft right now, find a tutorial on editing part files. Make a copy of the Juno engine and crank the alternator output up.

I hope I answered/helped your question/idea well.

Well, I’ll end here.
