Missing "world first milestones"

Hi, this is my first post on this forum. 

I just did a manned mission to eve and back (with landing) , and noticed I didn't get the "we have returned from the surface of eve" world first milestone. a few months ago I had done a manned eeloo return mission and same thing. I have milestones for returning from fly by and orbit,  but no surface return milestone. however, when I did the laythe return, I did get the surface milestone. 

does anyone know why this is?

Any help is appreciated. 

 

I have mechjeb and a few visual enhancement mods.

Did you return the vessel that landed on Eve bat to Kerbin? Or only the Kerbals?

In order to get the achievement you need to return a vessel (i.e. either a command capsule, cockpit, or a probe core) that landed on Eve and recover it on Kerbin.

ohh ok this makes a lot of sense. I only returned the kerbals, not the lander itself. thank you
