Vessel to Map and back issues...

Hello, veteran of the game here.

All of the sudden i'm unable to switch between vessel view to the map with 'M'. But.... this can be fixed by selecting the "Toggle Map" button to view the map. HOWEVER, toggling the map again or pressing 'M' will not work.

I've deleted the settings.cfg file, restarted the game, reset my graphics settings and continued to play, but am running into the same results. This came about within the past 3 days and its leaving me irritated and confused, as switching between map and vessel views often is somewhat how I play.

Please advise, would not mind having to restart my campaign, but prefer not to lose progress on my sandbox either...

Update: Oddly enough, this issue is only present on one of the campaigns being run. Perhaps a glitched instance in the campaign? Is not a key binding issue or game update problem, as a new campaign doesnt have this error.

I have the same problem. This starts after 1.8 released, on 2-3 day. First day of 1.8 was good, if except for graphic settings not saved

I checked file integrity throught Steam, it turned out that 2 files was broken and downloaded automatically. Then i launch game again with that issue, check file and 2 files were broken again.

Not something I've experienced, other than extreme slowness when my part count became silly. Presumably everything else has been responding normally in a timely fashion for you.

Does the log/ debug console provide any clue?

I'm seeing the same problem.  I found a way to joggle the problem and make it go away:

Go to the input settings in the main menu.  Add a secondary mapping for the MAP Toggle item.  I used B

load the broken campaign.  M should now work correctly, as well as the map view toggle button.

Go back and remove the secondary entry so you can use the brakes.  Having been joggled.  The M key should continue to work.

Don't know how often this bug shows up.
