After successfully orbiting around kerbin and establishing a reusable system in the A.P.U.S program,

and landing on the mum im the Nevregie program,

the KSC has set to put a permanent kerbal presence on duna, and so the Ethos program was born

plans include an orbital station, multiple landings and a base,

the first mission ethos 1 is to test the spacecraft in LKO

2nd tests the Te-4 base in LKO

and 3rd is the first mission to duna with the Regulus  orbital station and ethos 3 heading to duna during the next transfer window,

i will also have short cinematics uploaded to my youtube channel so pls check that out

more info about the Te-4 base:

Quote

the Te-4 successor to the mun Te-1 & Te-2 and the unflown Te-3 the base takes an entirely new designed to be built in LKO by a kerbonaut crew,  this test aims to if such a concept is possible (using KIS/KAS). the base and it;s components are built into a streamlined design that is supposed to be easily fit in a 3.75 meter faring, that design includes an aerobrake for duna aerobrake, sky crane and the base itself as it well as it's modules and disposable RTGs on the payload housing for long durations without assembly

Ethos 4 will feature a launch of the Te-4a base, a version designed for lko with reduced cost and mass and no heat shield or parachutes, and imperium 1a which will dock with the base and it's crew will try to assemble it in orbit

after a successful launch and rendezvous of the two craft the mission proved ..... a failure, the design used to store the modules turned out to explode upon sep (not really just kraken but need an in-game explanation) so a new way to store, and possibly assemble the base modules will have to be built,

however the mission allowed the kerbonauts who were still new to the program experience essential stuff such as long term spaceflight and rendezvous techniques

both the base and spacecraft will be deorbited

ethos 2 has been declared a successful failure ethos 2a will now be slated to launch next month with a new and improved Te-4a and the same crew as ethos 2
