KSP 1 Tutorials Locked (Saves Disabled)

KSP 1 issue (to be clear)

Hello, loving the game so far, but.....

Just had a run with lots of explosions and Kerbal blood on my hands.  I've been having some success on initial flights and Low Kerbin Orbit launches, but the bit O (as in Orbit) eludes me at this phase.  When jumping back and looking into the Tutorials each that requires me to do a "save" locks up and will not let me continue the Tutorial I'm on, since, "saves not allowed" on my computer.  Weird, and I'm pretty sure I'm doing something wrong, or there's some setting somewhere....

Any help would be great!
