Why can't I load downloaded craft files?

I wanted to download files from Raptor9 on KerbalX. The craft files say they are stock only. The files I downloaded were created in version 1.7 so I changed my KSP version to that. When I start the game I can see the crafts but when I try to load them it says there are parts missing. Only stock parts where used for these crafts and I`m on the same version. What am I doing wrong?

Sometimes, a player will use a mod called "MechJeb2" which even though isn't used for a particular craft, it still shows up in the craft file.

If you click and open the craft anyway, what part does it show the craft is missing? If it is the MechJeb part(s), you can still load the craft, then simply save it before you use it. That should get rid of the error message.

I solved my problem. The crafts used parts that were in the Making History expansion pack even though it said it only uses stock parts.
