Coordinates and altitude of the surface planet point

Recommended Posts

Hello all

Super simple and legitimate question (in my opinion) .....

On Kerbin without RSS without RO .......

How to know the coordinates and the altitude of a point?
(without going there)

thank you in advance

NB: This is to adapt the kscswitch conf file in order to have different KSCs on Kerbin.

Without going there? You may try MechJeb's landing guidance. You can select a position from map view, afterwards the coordinates and altitude will show up in the Mechjeb Gui.

KerbNet will show you the coordinates - and in terrain mode also the altitude - of the position where you put the marker. You will have to have a vessel with KerbNet-view of the place for which you want the information.

It's a bit laborious .....: /

Scansat might help you. You still need to launch a satellite and fast-forward until the entire surface has been mapped, but once the data has been collected, the scansat map and it's tools may be the best / easiest / most acessible means of finding suitable sites.

Yes, well, in real life it's not all that trivial either.

So I found a solution.......

https://kerbal-maps.finitemonkeys.org/
Then play (adapt) the following parameters:
repositionRadiusOffset = 43
heightMapDeformity = -40
absoluteOffset = 64
