Update mods with version 1.7

Hello,

I know we can’t install a mod 1.8 on a KSP 1.9. 
Question : if I have a KSP 1.7 (version Mac) I try to install the mod Kerbal Ingénieur V. 1.8.1, ans I have nothing appear running the game.
