Just popping in here to say cheers for the series Pleborian. Your no-frills profanity and energy drink laden approach is amusing to watch and you build some interesting ships. Caught up from ep 1 having never even seen your name around before buying KSP and it was interesting watching you figure things out on the fly (or at least present it that way and make it easy for me to work out what you're up to and why!). Keep it up mate.

First I want to say that your videos are awesome! The second thing is a question... could you make so that your Space projects like Legacy and Kerpollo downloads is Zip files to? Because I´m playing on a ston age mac book that can only read zip files.

LickableIce: the docking mod was broken by 0.17 but there is an experimental where the issue is fixed (except for really long warps like to jool, inc videos about what im going to do about that), just look for the erkle warp clamp x5.1 just under the main download.

Odentheonly: I will put up a zip download to go with the rar one, i'll do it as soon as I have posted this :D

RocketLauncher08: the Armstrong wont actually do any missions, think of it as my constellation project... it quite simply just wasnt good enough, there is a redesign pic a page back that I will upload so you guys can have a go and modify it. apart from that I'll show it off briefly in a vid and that will be that... kind of sad really because it is an amazing piece of work (best I ever did I personally think).

Space_marine: the last time I built the buran was in its old form, its landing gear was used by the c7 plugin that is now obsolete so I have no idea if the new wheels work as well as they did before... rest assured I will be building it really soon so I will show you how to do it (if I can get it right that is)

Hey Pleborian! First off love your videos, has inspired me to something similar to what you do. I do have a quick question though. I'm having some trouble with the WarpClamp mod. I've installed the "Parts" and the "Plugins" but where do the "Source" files go? They are the WarpClamp.cs and WarpClampMenu.cs file. I'm at a loss and I'm sure its something dumb. Thanks for any help! Looking forward to your next video!!

The "Source" folder goes in your main KSP folder, like others. It contains codes for who wants to use them.

you dont actually need the source files at all, they are just for if you want to modify the mod in your own way at a programming level.

Also new episode is out AND the 'Armstrong' mk3 is finally up (after weeks of taking the p**s and not reconstructing it)

hey Pleborian, I love your vids. I am trying to make an interplantary probe with ion engine but I have some problems with satelite pack. I have installed Mumech, Powertech plugins, but the solar panels didnt work. after reading some post I added a Powertech mumech plugin, which works as an interface between these to plugins. Solar panels work now, but unfortunately it is crashing the game.

How did you sort out yours? What plugins have you installed? Thanks

good question I have never had any mod crash my game, not even once... at first guess I would say its a conflict of some sort (mods/plugins not playing nicely with each other). the best bit of advice I can give is head to the kethane thread and ask the same question in there, chances are one of the modders will respond and either ask for more info or give you an answer (because the ksp modding community is amazing like that) :D

Hey Pleborian, why do you call it a Hosmann orbit when it's actually a Hohmann transfer orbit?

Also, I've worked out why your orbital inclination maneuvers cause you to stretch out your orbit. When you begin your burns, your thrust is applied perpendicularly to your orbital velocity. However, as your orbit tilts, your thrust is no longer perpendicular to your orbital velocity. We can then split your thrust vector into two components: a component that is still perpendicular to your velocity vector, and also a component that points prograde (it will always be prograde). The perpendicular component tilts your orbit as expected, but the prograde component causes the orbit to stretch.

To avoid excessive stretching, you should adjust your vector every so often to keep your thrust pointing perpendicular to your orbital velocity. Hope that helps.

In response to EP 50 and the hour long kethane pumping 'annoyance', the newest release supports warping during all kethane related activities. You're a busy guy with quite a lot on your plate so I figured I'd give you a heads up ;)

Wyrm: Because I ALWAYS forget the proper terms, you see while it would seem like I can do rocket science I actually cant, so I get the terminology wrong all the time

Tijaiha: yeah I downloaded the mod after I filmed the landing and rendezvous with the station, tested it out and what took an hour took 2 seconds... it was both a slap in the face AND a relief at the same time

brains001: you have to mess with the registry a little, takes about 2 seconds and there is a guide around here somewhere on how to fix them :D only thing is I cant find the link anywhere atm??? i have a video in stock where I address the situation because alot of people ask me this
