Long Range Speedboat Challenge

Mission:

The goal of this challenge is to build a stock (DLC allowed) boat which can go as fast as possible AND sustain that speed for an additional 1000 km after the screenshot is taken. Please remember to show the fuel consumption, speed, and current fuel in your screenshot so we can know your boat's range.

You don't need to actually go the 1000 km. Please for your sanity don't.

 

Categories:

All categories prohibit glitch-powered propulsion.

Open:

• No motor-driven or reaction wheel-driven propellers.
• No range penalties.

Featherweight:

• Every kg of craft weight in the editor adds a 50 m range penalty, meaning for example that a 10-tonne craft needs a 1500 km range.
• No motor-driven or reaction wheel-driven propellers.

Ultramarathon:

• Range requirement is 10000 km instead of 1000.
• No motor-driven or reaction wheel-driven propellers.
• Be near the equator so Kerbin's rotation doesn't mess with your vessel's performance.

Fanboat:

• No jet or rocket propulsion. Use propellers only.
• No electrical charge generation allowed. Use batteries.

Oceanliner:

• The range requirement is increased by 500 meters per unit of craft cost, but the total range requirement is divided by the Kerbal capacity.
• No motor-driven or reaction wheel-driven propellers.
• Lawn chairs don't count towards Kerbal capacity.
