KSP won't work with RSS

Recommended Posts

Hi guys I have a problem with KSP and RSS.
If I have installed RSS and I start KSP then the whole time it says only "extensions are loaded". And nothing happens but if I remove RSS from the gamedata folder of KSP then everything works and I can play KSP. RSS worked before but there was a problem with Kerbal Konstructs so I took out RSS and all the dependencies and Kerbal Konstructs worked so I don't know what's going on here. Can anyone help me how to get RSS working with KSP? Thanks :D

P.S. I use KSP 1.8.1.

For how long?

On the first launch after adding RSS, KSP is doing some things regarding textures / heightmaps / whatever. On my last install with SSD, this took 2-3minutes; with data still on disks, it was (IIRC) on the order of 10-15min.

Well, it would have been nice if patience had solved it....Have a look at the logfile. With any luck, it will tell you what the game tried to do last but couldn't finish.

However, as you say that it worked before but now it doesn't, I suspect that you messed something up when removing and re-adding RSS. If the log doesn't tell you what's wrong, I'd suggest to start over from a fresh KSP installation.
