Any downside to deleting completed contracts from a save?

I've got around 383 completed contracts being stored in my save file.  Are these just dead weight in the save file or does it serve a purpose?  Right now this is about 8% of the total lines in my save.

I'd like to flush them with the debug menu "Clear FInished Contracts".   But wanted to know if this creates any sort of problems before I do that.  You might just say, back up the save and try it,  but I don't want to waste days if the problems are something subtle it might take me a while to notice

I did try searching on here, but couldn't find any threads on the topic amid all the threads talking about contracts in general.

I didn't use the debug menu, but manually deleted most of the completed contracts from my latest career save and I haven't noticed any problems. (But I also didn't notice many - if any - benefits.)
