Apollo-Style mission

Hi everyone! Yesterday I used the new docking mod by Erkle to perform an Apollo-style mission. Here are some pictures of my adventure.

Lunar landing vehicle approaching Taurus I with upper stage LMI stage still attached.

Docked and ready to depart to the Mun.

Trans-Munar Injection burn is underway.

TMI burn complete, departure stage separation.

Having separated from Taurus I, the munar module begins its decent to the surface below.

On the surface! A bit of EVA is obviously in order now.

After departing the Mun's surface, the munar module hooks back up with the Taurus I.

Jettison of the munar module prior to entry interface.

Separation of the service module prior to entry interface.

Chute deploy!

Back home safely.

2 things.

1. how do rocks pop up on your Mun but through my experience there is no rocks of any sort? just a gray mun desert? And that landing site that you have picked looks epic. Ive been wanting to go to that Mun canyon so bad but it is really hard with all the mods i have installed and my computer keeps crashing. i will soon clean it out an download KSP again..... start new and head back to the Mun

There is an option in the graphics settings to turn on terrain scatters. Turn it on and you will get rocks and trees.

Nice mission!

I recognize most of the mods, but I have one question.

How do you put two (or more) command pods on one craft? or did you launch these separately (that not Apollo style!)

Though i personally suggest Hogs docking mod. It feels more complete.
