Trying to float on Laythe

Recommended Posts

I am trying to figure out how to float on Laythe, my attempts are all sinking.  My lander is a Probobodyne HCES, with three MK2-R parachutes, two 1x6 solar panels, a Z-400 battery, 2G antenna on top, and Barometer and Thermometer for science (I've already maxed out my science tree so kinda useless, but hey).  I jettison the heat shield before landing to reduce weight.

There's no airbags or anything available.  Is there something I can add that will make it float?

I'd post a picture but I can't figure out how to do that

I recommend experimenting on Kerbin. Since Laythe has lower gravity than Kerbin, that means that anything that floats on Kerbin automatically floats on Laythe, too. And the sea is right next to the space center, so it's really easy to lob or drive or glide something into it directly from the pad/runway.

Its a matter of density, not gravity.
All which is less dense than the liquid will float regardless of how strong the gravity is ;)
