And a new one for me , i have a multipart mun base and when i try to get closer with a new part i get the message "trouble reaching the terrain" and then the whole base disappears from the game OR i get a unity error screen.

when i reload and go to the base via tracking station , i get a star filled screen with the height numbers all in Red and then game crash.

Hello. You'd need to upload a log file and post the link here to determine what went wrong.

From the message I gather you have KSP-Interstellar-Extended installed? I don't think the stock game includes that line, but may be wrong. A search found that string in KSPIE code. The thread there might be useful:
