ZeroTheAstronaut
So, Is it possible with current implementation of physics/kerbals?What I mean is, presuming you get a large, roughly circular "room" into orbit, or really just microgravity, and spin it up to Kerbin G, Does it simply pin a kerbal, or would the kerbal be able to actually walk?I saw a test on youtube of a fairly small room that pinned one kerbal, and killed another, but I believe that a much largerr room that wouldn't have to spin as fast, wouldn't kill the kerbal. But I still wonder if it would actually model "gravity" of a sorts.Yes? No? Wrong section?
Trebuchet-Launch
Well, I'm launching a rocket using two fairing halves on long arms to test it. It SHOULD work, but that's why we test.
karolus10
It is possible, but kerbals aren't able to walk in centrifuge yet, only we can smack them on centrifuge deck still in rack-doll mode.I tested this over month ago (each arm 4 ladders long):In this centrifuge I achieved 0.9G with moderate rotation (I ending flight during EVA and check MAX G value, then reload back). nhnifong
You can check max G without ending flight. F3 or 4 I think. Cool experiment! I wonder if they are hard-coded not to be able to do that, or if it's just a matter of building the right centrifuge under the right conditions... Tommygun
Kerbals have limited walking and climbing abilities.I have had them collapse on the roofs of vehicles or steep slopes unable to move at all.Cool experiment though, I have been wonder what they would do. nhnifong
I might have trouble walking too If my head was that big.
