Game has no shadows

I played this game for above 300 hours with no shadows, I saw a screenshot of someone that had shadows in this game, and after doing a bit more research I saw this game actually was supposed to have shadows.

Why do I not have any shadows even though I have the shadow cascades setting at max?  <<< SOLVED BY HAVING RENDER QUALITY MAXED

 

Now I have ran into another problem: the shadows don't resemble the vehicle I'm using at all, mainly the little ones, I've made a small jet and it's wings are unrecognizable.

Also it looks like there are shadows above the jet

My best guess is that you have another setting turned off that means shadows aren’t shown at all- shadow cascades just controls the resolution of the shadows and AFAIK is not an on/off switch,

Alternatively it’s an issue with your graphics driver software, try updating that?

In addition to what jimmymcgoochie said: What kind of shadows? Only sunlight throws shade, other lights like the Illuminators shine right through any part.

Now I have improved my graphics and both texture/render quality and shadows cascades are maxed and shadows are now appearing, but now they look pretty weird

Here's a screenshot, now it does resemble the actual vessel but still you can see the shadows look weird
