Breaking ground not working

I have been playing for 40 hours and most of it trying to figure this out. sometimes it will work and then half way through not and then just not working at all. I've found a temporary solution to this but it ends up not working 10 seconds after. It says I have missing game files and it redownloads them and then proceeds to say I have more missing game files. Stuff wont deploy and IF I can even place something it wont setup. I've looked at plenty of tutorials and stuff so I know that I need a satellite and I need to place the control station first. I hope there is a solution to this if not I might just ask for a refund.

Are you downloading KSP from Steam? If so, try this:

• Back up your save files somewhere (e.g. desktop, but anywhere outside of Steam’s reach will do);
• Disable cloud syncing/saving for KSP in Steam;
• Completely uninstall KSP and delete any leftover files;
• Reinstall Steam
• Verify file integrity before you launch the game, just in case;
• Copy your save game(s) back into the KSP saves folder- keep the backup!
• Launch KSP and see if it works now.
