Guest
so we know that we will have interstellar missions where you burn for half the trip to get there and burn for the other half to be able to orbit, but what does that mean for timewarp? Does that mean that some of the exploits like freezing the craft will no longer work? I think that's the case but what do you guys think.
Guest
They confirmed both background burning for months while you to other things and persistent rotation (finally).
OHara
KSP2 might also freeze rotation when craft are unattended by the player. Then the direction of thrust during a long unattended burn is clear when the player leaves the craft alone. It would be nice to avoid the rotation-stopping exploit. Then we would need to have something like SAS holding the orientation of the craft, before an unattended burn. If we don't, and the craft is unbalanced, then the craft would thrust in a spiral, and KSP2 would have a much more complicated trajectory to compute, and that trajectory might confuse new players. I hope they find a tidy solution.
