Issue Completing Attach Battery To Satellite Mission

Hi,

 

I can't complete my mission to attach a battery to a satellite in orbit. I get the battery from the cargo hold and fix it in place on to the craft. However, it doesn't recognise that I have done what the mission asks which is frustrating. The link shows it attached and the mission not complete. Any solutions?

Yup I've got exactly the same problem, thanks for posting. Screenshot. Am playing the game vanilla without any DLC

Looks like you are experiencing the same issues as I have. You can read more about it Here and here for a work-around that will get you through (if you don't mind editing your save file). Otherwise, if you're satisfied you have finished the contract then use the "alt-f12" menu to cheat-complete it.

I think I found my bug. It says the vessel has an ID of 0 which cannot be true.

I just cheat-completed it because I spent like 5 hours and multiple launches.  Added docking ports. Tried to attach with stock 1.12.3 orbital attach.  Tried to attach it with KAS.  I could added a god damn docking port with both methods but it would not let me attach the damn battery!!!   So after 5 hours and several complete launches and enough frustration that I was ready to get a crowbar and beat my $4000 computer into a pile of plastic and silicon, I just cheated it and took a break for a day or two from Ksp hell.
