Can't take off a Cardboard Box

Recommended Posts

Not sure if this is a bug or not:

I was able to put a cardboard box on Val's back, just like a Portable Container, and load it up, and unload the items, but I couldn't find a way to take the box off her back, other than boarding a ship.  Then it just falls to the ground outside.

I'm able to drag a Portable Container back into the Inventory of a Storage Container, but the same action doesn't work with a Cardboard box. Is that by design?

KIS cardboard box? Put into the KIS inventory or the 1.11/BG stock inventory? KSP version, mod list, logs?

For KIS you should be able to either grab it with G or drag it out of their inventory and let go the LMB to then place it as normal, does this not work?

KSP 1.11.1, with both Making History and Breaking Ground DLC installed.

I'm pretty sure I tried all of those things and nothing seemed to work, but I'll give it another shot, along with providing the mod list  when I get done with work and get back to the Kerbaverse.

So the problem was that I didn't recognize it was a KIS component and not stock.  It responded with the G key just fine.

I guess what I don't get (next on the hit parade) is why some stock items can be loaded into KIS inventory and not others. I'm thinking specifically of the deployable experiment packages. There's plenty of space for them in a cardboard box or a portable container, but they won't go in. But things like batteries and solar panels will go in no problem.
