Galaxies Unbound/Scatterer Bug

Recommended Posts

I've had some major issues with interstellar planets in Galaxies Unbound, most if not all of the planets with atmospheres and oceans have the oceans transparent and the atmosphere black (besides gas giants) and you can pretty much guess how that might effect gameplay. I've tried quicksaving and quickloading but it has not work, I also checked if I installed it correctly. I don't know which log file I need to provide, so if you are providing support just ask me for the log file, and thanks for your help!

Not sure if the same problem but there was something similar with Galileo’s Planet Pack a while back needing a different cfg for Scatterer and if you used the normal one it made the oceans and atmosphere black.

Edit: here is thread -

I can't find a specific config file for GU anywhere, do you might know where one is?

Ok looking on the GU thread, there’s some very specific installation instructions when using Scatterer with it. I’ve tried to link/copy/paste but it’s not letting me but they’re there in the hidden contents how to install section of the first post.

Basically it seems like you have to remove all older versions of GU before adding or updating (assume you did that?) Then there are some changes inside the cfg inside the mod folder that are specific to Scatterer (mentions unlocking planets or something). It mentions clouds not working if not done properly. I’d work through that list looks very easy to miss a small detail.

The GPP cfg was a textured cfg (makes sense I suppose ) so different issue to yours I think.
