swengineer
The SpaceX starship has control fins that rotate out the way - so to speak - to control the attitude of the vessel when moving in an atmosphere at a 90° Angle of Attack (AoA). I would very much like KSP2 to offer the possibility of creating similar vehicles for Entry, Descent and Landing. Trailing body flaps I suppose are already there for KSP1, but this would have to work on the sides as well for full control - and with S.A.S. The control laws would have to take into account the direction the vessel is moving (this would usually be bottom first for the entry stage). Also, I will be needing a re-entry fin canard1 on the front, thanks. 1. a combination of a canard and starship fin.
isdi0
That would be cool, I agree
kedrednael
Perhaps in KSP2 you can also reshape control surfaces to any size you want. Then if you attach them sideways there are like the starship fins. We saw there will be procedural wings in the latest video: https://youtu.be/5CNwB8mmntg?t=
