Logo on spaceship

If you look into the part file you will see a file labeled textures.

You can edit this texture file with a programs like Gimp or Photoshop to have your logo on them.

This will only work on your personal copy of KSP and any ship files you share, the person you share them with will have to manually replace the old texture with your new one for it to show.

Edit: I'm assuming you are using stock parts and not designing your own.

This will not work in the full version of the game. The new parts and models are compressed in the .Mu and .mbm files.

Sorry you are right, I have never tried to mod the stock parts.

I just checked and there are only a small handful of stock parts that have a separate texture file.

There are a few old (small) fuel and RCS tanks that still have them and could be used that way.

I'm not sure about copying the renaming the parts would be allowed.

If you create your own substitute texture is one thing, but the parts belong to KPS.

Ahhh ok.

I actually have only tried to change the small fuel tank and RCS funnily enough, but I'm still unable to get it to work. I'm able to change the name of the part and a few other parameters, but not the texture. No matter what I do to it, the textures stay the same. So maybe there is textures in the folder but the game doesn't use them?
