Problem with loading a game after 1.12 update and bluescreen

Recommended Posts

Hello

Today morning I have updated KSP to version 1.12.1.3142. I've started a game, I've choosen one probe, then I decidec to go to space station (quite big). Game crashed to blue screen during loading.

I have restarted the game and now problem with loading game started:

1. I click Resume game:

2. I choose "default" game and click Load:

3. Now you can see, that menu in backgroud becomes clickable again and save is not loaded of course.

When finally I managed to start that game i found other bug, there was a sound of burning engines when all engines were stopped. I had to shut them down to stop this sound... I never had such problems with previous versions. I also had problem with catalyst control center host application stopping to work on my computer, but it looks like i have solved it already (i reinstalled driver of AMD graphics card).

At the moment I have choosen to go back to 1.11.2, but here you have example of problems.

I have Windows 7 64 bit, no mods.

This problem is descibed here:

After clicking on Training or Scenario there was emply list of trainings and scenarios.

A hard bluescreen over something like that suggests a problem with your computer somewhere. Power delivery to you graphics card maybe, but who really knows. having that happen suddenly while you're coming into view of another vessel can corrupt your savefile, but can also corrupt the filesystem on your PC's storage device. You might want to run checkdisk, especially since the crash messed up other things on your computer. Other than that, if you can get into your save file at all, try reverting to a quicksave.
