How to quickload?

My f4 to quicksave works great but when I hit f9 to load nothing happens...I changed it to f5 and still doesnt do anything? Is there a certain screen I must do this from?

My default keybinds are F9 to save and F5 to load. You have to hold the save down for a couple seconds for it to save and tap the quickload button for it to load. Make sure you hold the button down otherwise it doesn't do anything.

Do I have to have the flight still going on? On my transfer to Jool I accidently had a little bump in with the moon...I had quicksaved in kerbin orbit and I would like to go back and wait until the moon has passed...maybe I cant do this now.

Well... it depends. If you have another flight that was in progress, and had a quicksave before it crashed, you can use that one... but if the quicksave predates the launch of the other craft, you're out of luck

Right now I think Im out of luck, but my keys wont work. Do I have to quickload from another flight, the tracking station, or the home screen or something???

Before MAJOR moment, i hit f5.

if i fail horibally, i press and hold f9. not vice versa.
