modded parts in the VAB keep flashing red

just like the title says, the parts i downloaded keep flashing red and wont attach to anything. will occasionally get stuck to the mouse and ill have to reset the VAB in game. 

the three mods giving me the most trouble are near/far future propulsion and near future electrical, its only half the parts from each mod, the other ones work as intended.

i keep accidentally fixing it but after i log of and back on it goes back to flashing red and i cant place the parts.

 any ideas please and thank you?
