Internal view broken - Getting black blocks where Kerbals should sit (version 1.12.2)

So i have Kerbalmax industries station parts mod among others in version 1.12.2 and i've never had this problem before but the internal view is broken. In face cam, the kerbals are sitting in black background and the internal views aren't loading when i click the tab - instead i get these 'black blocks' as shown in my screencap
Does anyone know a fix? Thanks for any help
