(Help me) getting to Eve w/ Mechjeb

I've been having some trouble with transferring to Eve using Mechjeb. It keeps saying its moving to the injection burn point, but Eve has passed my rocket at least 3 times and the rocket hasn't started burning. Also, why does Mechjeb say that zero deltaV is needed to get to Eve?

I don't think MJ will even autopilot you to planets right now... Just brush up on orbital mechanics, use smart A.S.S. and the following link to get you there:

Eve has different inclination, so i suppose mechjeb can't handle that.

yes it will i use i all the time to get to joll and the reson mechjeb says 0m/s is because you need to be at a lower orbital altitude than the object you want to head to

Apparently Mechjeb can't figure out how to do transfers to smaller orbits in the current version.

Get to Kerbin orbit.

Next, use the Orbital Maneuver system to set your apoapsis to 90,000,000km. This will cause your SoI to switch over to the Sun.

Save yourself some time and use the Warp to SoI feature of the Orbital Maneuver. Once your SoI is switched over to the Sun, the "Transfer" function will now list the various planets, and using it will work exactly like you would to get to Mun or Minmus - wait for the SoI switch then wait to reach the periapsis. Your orbit at this point will most likely be hyperbolic around the destination body. Reduce your apoapsis (burn retrograde) until it falls into an elliptical orbit (or keep going and circularize).

If you want to get to a moon instead, you need to first get into orbit around it's planet. If your final destination is one of the planet's moons, you can either correct from a hyperbolic orbit around the planet first and then transfer to it, or see if you can execute a transfer immediately from your hyperbolic orbit. If you can, this will probably save you some fuel. Be careful, because if you screw up you'll end up back on a solar orbit with a nasty inclination.
