Wuk Jebediah
It'd be most welcome and I think best if AMD's FSR was to be implemented first, as it's open-source, as opposed to NVIDIA's anti-consumer proprietary DLSS, which is supported exclusively since 2000-series, effective as their technology is it also is not available to GTX or RX dGPU series owners, but FSR is - and according to Steam's hardware survey, at the moment of writing, 8% of users own a GTX 1060, 6% own a GTX 1650, 6% own a 1050 Ti, 5% own an RTX 2060, 3% own a GTX 1050, 3% own a GTX 1660 Ti . . . suffice to say, at this point, Steam users own a GTX series video card, to justify my suggestion of FSR over DLSS. In the more distant future perhaps, for Kerbal Space Program 3 (?) or towards the end of development of Kerbal Space Program 2 or fairly priced "DLC" if not released in a fashion of e.g. Terraria's "Journey's End" update, would you consider leveraging real-time ray-tracing for lightning system as it's far easier, and not as resource intensive, and therefore would free up considerable amount of a team's time for development of the game and its content themselves. I believe it'd be beneficial and since Kerbal Space Program isn't a face paced game, obviously, and frankly, forty to fifty frames per second would really be enough, if provided with truly cinematic and lifelike sights to behold and indulge, inspire the player. It's just a suggestion, a fleeting thought I thought I'd share. My two cents. Assuming AMD and NVIDIA come back to their senses, and pull back, before permanently destroying most if not all interest in the PC gaming hobby, and nuking every remotely related industry in the process, that is.
