Manuever Node Glitch?

how do i stop this from happening, im just trying to make a manuever and it just appears and i cant make it anymore, i have to delete it and do it again.

That typically appears when you right-click on the "ring" of a maneuvernode.  Right-clicking that "ring" connecting those buttons should make it go back to normal maneuvernode mode.  The mode in the picture is very useful and it would be a good idea to understand what all those buttons do.  If you are on console the "right-click" will be some other controller button/combo instead that I don't know about.  But whatever you are hovering over and whatever button you are clicking when this happens to you is what you want to do again to make it go back to the original state
