HELP - DeltaV/TWR/STAGING Numbers/Tab missing

Recommended Posts

This might be a complete noob thing here… but I’ve made the switch to RP1 (fresh install followed the instructions to the T). Did add a couple recommended add ones but just a rocket sound mod.

the issue is - I’m completely missing my TWR/ESTIMATED BURN TIME/STAGING button that shows very helpful info. Yes, I can use mechjeb, but I really like this one. Can anyone help me? I can’t figure out how to post a photo, but it’s the orange and grey staging that is ALWAYS in the bottom right of the screen…

RO/RP-1 recently disabled the stock delta-V calculation, which also removes the estimated burn time for nodes and the stock TWR calculations, but not the staging bar itself- that should still be there.

MechJeb’s numbers are the most accurate for RO/RP-1 due to things like residuals (fuel that can’t be used), variance (using slightly more or less of a propellant than expected) and propellant mixes that stock doesn’t calculate well/at all.

Which instructions did you follow? There’s an RP-1 express install option on CKAN and that’s the recommended way of doing it.

I followed this link, which I believe is the express. I know it’s not accurate but I see YouTubers still have it and I’d like to add it back if it doesn’t mess up the game somehow. I liked the “rough” info it provided without the second window on an already cluttered desktop VAB lol

Some people will still have it because they haven't updated their mods- which can sometimes break saves, and if you're doing a video series you don't want to break anything at all. The express install is still the recommended way of doing it.

The stock dV displays were often wildly inaccurate with RO rockets and MechJeb's delta-V window can be configured to show only the bare minimum of information you need (delta-V and TWR in vacuum and atmosphere and burn time for each stage) which doesn't take up much space at all.

I see what you mean! This is great, thank you! I’d rather it be accurate than Wildly inaccurate for sure, but was running out of space lol thanks!
