"Purple orbit/trajectory" on map ?

I've seen many screenshots on the forum of maps that showed a future orbit/trajectory in purple, but i can't find out how to see it, or add it. Please help me.

It is very simple.

1. Find settings in base level of your KSP folder. Make a copy just to be safe.

2. Open settings file in notepad

3. Fine the "conics-patch" (if I remember correctly. use ctrl+f to search conics near the top of the file)

4. Default value is 2 iirc. Just change that value for how many more iterations of lines you want.

5. Save file

I would recommend only setting it to between 3-4, at 5 orbits and higher the predictions are usually off.

The predictions always have a slight error to them, it's just that as you keep iterating over that data and projecting more data from that slightly-off data, the innaccuracies add-up to become quite noticeable.
