infinite load into launchpad

I have a ship flying around the mun.  I went back to create another however now I cannot make it to the launchpad.  I've tried this with a few different, even stock, ships and on several launchpads.  It appears to allow me to interact using the spacebar, but I can only see the loading screen perpetually.

I was able to start a new campaign and get to the launchpad.

I'm having the same issue. Was working just fine. Had rocket sat on the pad, went back to VAB to tweak something but now gets stuck at the splash screen when going back to the launchpad. If I press space I can hear the staging but never loads.

This happened to me today - I resorted to loading in a quick-save made on the launchpad in a prior version of the same rocket I had been fooling around with in the VAB. I was able to launch that rocket an d continued on with my save. But I haven't yet tried going back to the VAB with the same save and building a new rocket, either.
