Camera issue in orbit

Im trying to dock a ship at a space station for half an hour. everythings going well. I go into map view and when I come out the camera is wayy zoomed out and centered 20m off the ship once I do zoom in making docking impossible. Ive tried switching ships then switching back,  exiting my kerbal from the ship then reboarding but once the camera breaks it always defaults to broken. I checked through the forums but no one else has posted about this yet. has anyone else had this problem?
