Cannot delete debris in tracking center

After stage separating small parts in orbit, I opened the tracking center and tried deleting a random piece of debris from the tracking center list on the left side delete button and I clicked the button and the debris did stop tracking. Thus, over time in a campaign file after multiple launches with separations, there is a lot of debris in orbit that I cannot destroy and might cause performance issues.

So it turns out that you can, but you have to do it by right clicking the debris directly on the map, and then enter and re-enter the tracking station.   But, you're absolutely right that it cannot be done from the list.

Ah thanks, I was running into this as well.  Interestingly, while deleting the debris while right clicking works, the debris tab in the tracking center is still filled with what looks like a bunch of randomly generated generic ids? In fact... none of the debris I deleted actually appeared in the debris list in the tracking center. So now I'm wondering what that list is showing me... Like, all the parts I deleted were named things like "untitled ship 21" etc. But all the names in the list were like "1342kj-12k31o2-lk13o1-1k23o1i" (I'm making that up but that was the format.)

Hum... actually they all went away after I saved, quit, and reloaded. So... maybe the tracking center was showing the right parts but listing the entity ID's or something rather than their names?
