Move a kerbal to another IVA seat.

In the three man launcher, when you IVA a kerbal, the seat that becomes empty depends on the man you choose. When you get back in, the seats are filled from left to right. Is there any way to control which seat a kerbal gets in when you only have 2 kerbals and a three man launcher?

I'm just hoping there is some secret key to cycle the seat positions, but probably not.

I'd be OK with a save edit.

I believe under the SFS entry for a command capsule, there's something like:

crew = 1

crew = 2

crew = 3

If you change the order around, it SHOULD change the order of the Kerbals. No idea though, can't test it at the present moment...

Eventually of course, once we get astronaut management, you'd certainly be able to customize crew seating arrangements as you wish.

Those seem to refer to the identities of the pilots.

My ship says

crew = 12

crew = 14

But I confirmed that they remember their seats when a save is reloaded. It must be in there somewhere.

Once squad implements the rest of the IVA features, Kerbals should be able to move around the cockpit at will, so you will probably be able to pick and choose who sits where.
