High dV challenges

1. Put an object on a collision course with the sun and return the capsule to Kerbin
   
2. Put an object on a collision course with Jool and return the capsule to Kerbin
   
3. Put an object on a hyperbolic trajectory from the sun and return the capsule to Kerbin
   
4. Put an object in an aerocapture manoeuvre that goes too far into Jool, and send it back into space and into orbit
   

Can these be done with unaltered mods or stock itself? Time to find out.

Depending on what you mean by "on a collision course," 1 and 2 are fairly straightforward, and I've done them both, though of course I didn't take pictures. They can be done by putting a ship into a very high orbit around Kerbol (or Jool) and killing the horizontal velocity. The ship is now on a collision course with either body, as if left alone it would fall into the star or planet. Getting back up to speed is a bit of a challenge, but it's not so bad now that we have nuke engines.

Around Jool it's very easy, since you only need to come to rest relative to Jool, not Kerbol. In a high enough orbit (relatively easy to achieve for Jool) the maneuver barely requires any delta v.

You also need to define what 'too far' is in relation to Jool..

Collision course, a stage of your craft is jetissoned in an orbit that intersects the atmosphere/kill zone of the target body. You can't just slow down and speed up, the stage must crash. As for 'too far', it is when you aerobrake enough that your periapsis is below the kill zone, and your apoapsis in the atmosphere.
