Cannot assign 'e' key as input, seems to cancel task

Cannot assign 'e' key as input, seems it may be mapped to cancel key assignment. Noticed this after assigning roll to my joystick and attempting to assign it back to Q/E. Verified I can't assign 'e' to other inputs as well.
